A new study is pointing to the benefits of micronutrient supplementation
The goal of this study was to broaden the scope of evidence-based treatments and to address the public desire for non-pharmacological treatment options. The Maddy study points to the benefits of micronutrient supplementation in the management of Anger and Irritability in children with ADHD. The study was a randomized and placebo-controlled trial, comparing micronutrients with placebo with a group of 135 children, aged 6-12, with ADHD, and whose parents reported symptoms of irritability or anger.
Jeanette Johnstone, from Oregon Health and Science University, was the Principal Investigator. https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT03252522
